Powder Horn Mountain is a gated community located in a beautiful, natural setting.  If you love the Blue Ridge Mountain Outdoors, you will love its wild and scenic mountain location.

In addition to the area's great natural beauty, Powder Horn Mountain is also blessed with a variety of facilities including a large club house, a chapel, gazebo, swimming pool, playground, tennis court, basketball and volleyball area, picnic area and campground. The mountain also has the beautiful Laurel Creek, three stocked lakes, hiking trails, and over 10 miles of maintained roads.


 


The Clubhouse

Our rustic Clubhouse facility overlooks beautiful Bright  Penny lake and the outdoor swimming pool area.

The main floor level has a 10’ wide fireplace with gas logs, wood dance floor,  many comfortable couches and chairs to lounge on, large dinning area and a fully appointed kitchen that  has 2 ranges, 2 ovens, a large commercial refrigerator and a  freezer.

The dining area has seating for 50 plus people. The lower floor level of the Clubhouse offers 2 game rooms with 5 pool tables, a ping pong table,  air hockey table and children’s play area. 

Large expansive decks offer plenty of room for outdoor affairs. We also provide two gas grills for outdoor cooking. Our Clubhouse is great for family get-togethers, social affairs,  business gatherings and all types of receptions. 

The clubhouse also has a fitness center with various kinds of exercise equipment for those who want to stay in top shape.

The Chapel

Campbell Memorial Chapel is located in the beautiful wooded setting of Powder Horn Mountain.

The Chapel's rustic mountain architecture offers rock façade and timber beam construction. The Chapel has beautiful stained glass windows and  comfortable wooden pews that seat up to 80.  The Chapel provides a lovely and reverent setting for christenings, weddings and renewing wedding vows. The Chapel is also available to Powder Horn members for religious or private occasions with Chapel Board approval.

Non-denominational services are held in the Chapel every Sunday at 11:00 a.m., except for the months of January and February when the chapel is closed for the winter.
